Financial Policies, Information, and Liability Waiver

X Squad welcomes dancers of every ability and strive to reach the fullest potential of
each individual dancer. X Squad’s goal is to train leaders in the dance world,
classroom and community. Enter X Squad’s doors a stranger and leave as part of the

Recreational Company 2023/2024

Tuition Policy.  X Squad is an annual tuition (September-June) due on the 1st day of each
calendar month and are full monthly payments. By signing this Financial Polices,
Information and Liability Waiver, you are hereby agreeing to pay your dancer’s
monthly tuition for ten (10) consecutive months starting with the month of September
and ending with the month of June. Starting in October, you will enroll your student in an automated payment portal.  A $30.00 late fee will be assessed to your
dancer’s monthly tuition for any tuition that remains outstanding by the 6th day of
each month. The quality of our facility and faculty depends upon a system of mutual
respect and cooperation.  Full Tuition is due every month regardless of attendance and/or holidays. Payments do not vary due to holidays or the number of weeks in a month. 
Tuition is not prorated. 


Registering Your Dancer. At the time of registering your dancer, you must place a credit
card and/or debit card with X Squad LLC for automatic withdrawals for tuition, costumes and
recital.  

 

Payment Policy.   Your dancer’s first month’s tuition is due at the time of registering your
dancer for recreational classes. Tuition will be paid through an automatic withdrawal from
your credit card and/or debit card account.


End of Season. All automatic payment withdrawals will cease at the end of the current
season. All dancers must register for each new full season (September – June).


Rejection of Credit Card and/or Debit Card. Credit cards and or Debit Cards on file that
are rejected for any reason, your dancer’s account will be charged a $25.00 service fee.
Classes. Classes commence on the first Monday after Labor Day in September and
conclude with X Squad annual Showcase in June. 


Monday, October 9, 2023 – Columbus Day – STUDIO IS OPEN FOR ALL CLASSES.


Tuesday, October 24 through Monday, October 30, 2023 – It is Halloween at X Squad.
Have your dancer wear their favorite Halloween Costume to class. Your dancer will
dance in their costume.


Tuesday, October 31, 2023 – STUDIO CLOSED FOR TRICK OR TREAT.


Wednesday, November 22, 2023 through Sunday, November 26, 2023 – STUDIO
CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.


Thursday, December 21, 2023 through Monday, January 1, 2024 – STUDIO CLOSED
FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK – Studio Re-Opens for all classes on Tuesday, January 2,
2024.


Monday, January 15, 2024 – Martin Luther King Day – STUDIO IS OPEN FOR ALL
CLASSES.

Monday, February 19, 2024 – President’s Day – STUDIO IS OPEN FOR ALL CLASSES.


Monday, March 25, 2024 through Saturday, April 6, 2024 – STUDIO CLOSED FOR
EASTER HOLIDAY AND SPRING BREAK – Studio Re-Opens on Sunday, April 7, 2024.


Monday, May 13, 2024 – Tickets go on sale for X Squad’s Annual Recital.


Monday, May 27 2024 – STUDIO CLOSED FOR MMORIAL DAY.


Recital Information.  X Squad will be hosting their 16th annual recital in June. More
information to follow at a later time.


Costume Deposit Policy. A non-refundable costume fee of $65.00 per costume, per
routine for each recreational dancer will be an automatic withdrawal from your dancer’s
credit card and/or debit card account on file on DECEMBER 1, 2023. Every dancer and
every class will participate in X Squad’s 16th Annual Recital.


X Squad Important Information. X Squad makes every effort to keep parents and/or
guardians informed of rehearsal schedules, performances, special events etc. though email, our Instagram page, and website homepage. It is the parent’s responsibility to check their email and the website for important
information and updates.


Missed Class Policy. Missed classes may be made up in any other age/level appropriate
class. You may register for a make-up class due to family vacations, illness or other
unforeseen instances.  Missed classes for any reason will not result in credits, refunds or
pro-rated tuition. 


Unable to Attend Class. Please contact the studio either by e-mail at
xsquad@comcast.net or by calling the studio at (410) 474-4995 to advise the studio that
your dancer will be absent from class/rehearsal. Consistent attendance is crucial to the
progress of your dancer.
 
Substitutes. X Squad reserves the right to provide a substitute instructor, assistant or
change of staff instructors as necessary. X Squad reserves the right to cancel a class
and/or offer a make-up class and/or a new class time if a special event and/or weather
conditions interferes with a class time. X Squad reserves the right to substitute or combine
classes on occasion if a rehearsal and/or master class opportunity or need arises.
Inclement Weather. If the need arises to close the studio due to inclement weather, check
Instagram (or the Instagram feed on xsquaddancers.com) by 2:00 PM on the day of the inclement weather advising you if the studio
is closed or open.


Dance Bags/Personal Belongings/Cell Phones. Dance bags, personal belongings and
cell phones are to be placed in cubbies in the dancers’ area. At no time whatsoever will
cell phones and dancer’s dance bags and belongings be allowed in the dance rooms.
Any dancer who chooses to ignore this rule will be dismissed from the recreational
company. If parents and/or guardians must contact their dancer, parents and/or guardians
are to contact the studio telephone at (410) 474-4995 and your dancer will receive the
message. Dancers are permitted to bring only water into the studio rooms. All food
and/or drinks are to remain in the dancer’s area. X Squad is not responsible for the lost
and/or stolen personal items. 


Food/Drinks/Gum. At no time whatsoever are dancers permitted to bring food, drinks,
other than water bottles, gum, candy etc. into the building. All dancers must consume all
food and drinks outside. All dancers must clean-up after themselves disposing into the

 trash receptacles all unconsumed food and drinks, food wrappers, food containers, drink
containers etc.


Weekly Dance Attire. The attire for all classes, other than the Wednesday classical ballet
class, is dance shorts and/or, leggings, tank tops and/or crop tops. Hair must be pulled off
the dancer’s face.


Conduct in the Studio. X Squad has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abusive
behavior directed to any other X Squad Dancer or studio faculty. Abusive and obscene
language, violent play/conduct, fighting and other behavior (including, but not limited to
sarcasm, taunting, etc.) deemed detrimental to X Squad will not be tolerated. These actions
have been deemed to spread negativity throughout the studio. It can result in low morale,
and if allowed to go unchecked, can impact the overall productivity of the dancers. Any
dancer that violates this policy will be will be dismissed from X Squad.


COVID-19 Policies and Procedures. X Squad will continue to follow COVID-19 policies
and procedures as set by Governor Carney and the State of Delaware. Masks are not
required but parents and dancers use your discretion with regards to the wearing of masks.
Due to the uncertainty of public safety surrounding COVID-19, classes maybe switched to
being held virtually at any time. There will be no refunds, discounts or exchanges if X
Squad must switch to a virtual format. The use of hand sanitizer will continue to be
encouraged throughout the time your dancer is at the studio. Hand sanitizer will be readily
available throughout the studio for your dancer to use at their discretion.


Waiver of Liability and Indemnity. By checking the box on my online registration form, I (we) hereby agree to all of the terms, information and conditions contained herein as well as releasing X Squad, LLC and
BBE, LLC, and their agents, employees, and/or representatives of liability for any injury to of
my child/children and myself in class or practice, on the premises, traveling to and from and
while participating in X Squad, LLC sponsored performances, recitals, classes, rehearsals,
practices and activities. This release and waiver of liability applies even to injuries or that
arises out of or is in any way related to the negligence and/or conduct of X Squad, LLC or
BBE, LLC (the property owner) and/or their agents, employees or representatives. We also
understand that my child/children is/are engaging in physical exercise and/or activity and is
using X Squad, LLC equipment while on the premises. I also understand that all Virtual or
Live streaming classes, is done so entirely at your child’s/children’s own risk.
You agree that your child/children are voluntarily participating in the use of X Squad, LLC
facility. We understand there is a risk of injury and/or death by participating in dance related
activities and we expressly assume this risk of injury including but not limited to the risk of
injury or death arising out of or in any way related to the negligence and/or conduct of X
Squad, LLC or BBE, LLC and/or their agents, employees or representatives. We
understand that in the event medical intervention is needed, attempts will be made to
contact the person(s) listed below. In the event you cannot be contacted for the health and
well-being of my child/children, I hereby authorize a representative of X Squad to authorize
whatever medical treatment that might be necessary in an emergency. I understand that my
medical insurance carrier and I are financially responsible for any medical treatment
extended to my child/children (or myself). X Squad, BBE, LLC and its agents and/or
representatives cannot be held accountable or liable for such medical treatment.
This waiver and release of liability includes, without limitation, all injuries which may occur,

regardless of negligence, as a result of; (a) your child’s/children’s use of all amenities and
equipment in the facility and your child’s/children’s participation in any activity, class,
program, personal training or instruction, (b) the sudden and unforeseen malfunctioning of
any equipment and (c) you or your child/children slipping and/or falling while in the studio, or
on the studio premises, including adjacent sidewalks and parking areas. You also are
agreeing to your child/children participating at your own risk regarding possible COVID - 19
exposure.  You are also agreeing to comply with X Squad’s code of conduct regarding hand
sanitizing practices and social distancing. 


Accordingly, we do hereby forever release and discharge X Squad, LLC and BBE, LLC from
any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions, or causes of actions on behalf of
ourselves and child.


We hereby agree to defend and indemnify X Squad, LLC and BBE, LLC and/or their agents,
employees and/or representatives from any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages,
actions and causes of action brought by us, our child and/or on behalf of our child.
This release, waiver and indemnity is intended to be as broad as allowed under Delaware
law.


Furthermore, I give X Squad, LLC, authority to use my child/children images in photographs,
newspaper ads, articles, brochures, videos, and web pages for promotional purposes.  If
you do not give X Squad the authority to use your child/children images in photographs,
newspaper ads, articles, brochures, videos and web pages for promotional purposes, you
must notify X Squad, LLC in writing of said request.
